What events and programs does the Kimball Area Chamber
of Commerce offer its members and the community?
There are many events and programs sponsored by the
Chamber. In addition to sponsoring the programs below,
the Chamber is represented on many community and civic
organizations.
Annual Vegas Night
A mid-winter tradition, the Chamber’s annual Vegas social
night is a fun-filled evening with a social hour,
hors d’ oeuvres followed by Vegas-style games (dealt by
Chamber members) and bingo. Participants are encouraged to play with their casino chips (play money) to accumulate
as many chips as possible. The evening concludes with an
auction where participants use their winnings to bid on
prizes donated by local businesses. This year’s Vegas Night
is scheduled for Saturday, February 11.
Business and Community Expo
The Kimball Area Chamber of Commerce presents an annual
expo for businesses, families and the community at the
Kimball Area High School. This is an opportunity for local
business, health care providers, non-profit organizations
and home-based dealers of national companies an
opportunity to display their products or services. Visitors
will be able to obtain information that is of value to their
home, family and health. Throughout the day live
demonstrations, local entertainment and speakers are
featured.
Now in its fourth year, the Business and Community Expo is
a great opportunity to showcase your products or services
and create visibility for your organization to a wide variety
of potential customers and clients. It is a wonderful event
that brings the community together for a day. The 2008

May Day Baskets
Kimball and May Day Baskets is a long community
tradition. The Chamber co-sponsors a community May Day
Basket program with the Kimball Community Education.
The program is held on May 1, unless May 1 falls on a
Saturday or Sunday, then the date is switched to an early
day in May.
National Night Out
August date not set.
There will be free rootbeer floats and entertainment.
All-City Garage Sale
Held on the first or second Saturday in May, the Kimball
Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors an All-City Garage
Sale. By providing collective promotional opportunities, the
Chamber’s All-City Garage is a widely advertised and fun
community event.
Kimball Days - August
The Chamber of Commerce is a proud supporter Kimball
Days, our community-wide celebration. Held the second
weekend in August, the Chamber sponsors a Hamburger Stand at the Saturday Night Street Dance and a float entry on Sunday’s Parade.
Meet the Candidates
During a general election year, the Chamber of Commerce
sponsors a “Meet the Candidates” evening at the local high
school. This event helps introduce candidates running for
local or state offices to the community and also presents the
business agenda and area needs to the candidates.
Chamber Meetings
The Chamber meetings are held the last Thursday of every month.
